App. with potential - but only if development continues

I have been using CityTime for many years - first on Palms then on Windows Mobile. It has served me well all over the world. Now the Apple version could be a worthy candidate - but only if the app continues to be updated to the other platforms features. Keep on coding :-)

Great app esp. if expanded to install cities

The initial setup is a bit slow, but one can live with that. But PLEASE add the option of installing additional cities in accordance with individual needs for that 5th star! And Id also suggest that you select a more expressive icon.

Does what its supposed too

I travel internationally and was constantly using google to find out what time it was in the countries I wanted to call. I bought a similar APP for this and it was just too complicated. This one just does what it has too with no fuss and I a satisfied. I agree a better icon would be nice.

The best world clock of all times

Remember Palm V? I used CityTime for more than 10 years there. Want to plan a meeting next month and you are not sure who already switched to DST? Whats the time in Outback Australia? CityTime knows it. Now also on iPhones. This was the best app I had on my Palm V. This was the most missed app on my iPad. So, only one question remains: when is the time ripe for a iPad version?

A Fine App

After being a long-time user of this program on the Palm platform, I was very glad to see it migrate to iPhone. While the current version still has room to grow, I have no doubt that the remaining features from the Palm version (and new ones!) will be coming soon. The tools do exactly what they say they will, with a very clean interface. My only quibble is the background photos in the dawn/dusk screens, which are too fussy for the rest of the program. Very satisfied. Keep it coming.

Great time app!!!

Unique time app that does what it is supposed to do. I like the world map that gives a live, scrolling depiction of which parts of the earth are in daylight or shadow. It also tells you sunrise/set and moonrise/set time for a location of your choice. You can also compare time differences between cities. The main screen gives you the current time for six cities of your choice. It would be better to have a choice of the number of cities shown. For example I am only interested in the time of four cities but I have to put in the name of two extra cities I really dont care about just to have six cities. Small complaint, great app. Great work by the developer!!

Mr. E. Frik

Nice entry to the iphone platform from an already established Palm platform. Would be nice if the future versions incorporate many of the functions found on the Palm version as well. New version with the zoomable map is a nice addition. I still wish that i can edit the cities database and enter my own location by giving the coordinates. Overall it is a very nice program. Worth getting it.

Very nice little app

This is a very nice application. I find that the function for camparing the time in two locations is very useful, e.g., when it is 2 PM in Vancouver, what is the time in . . .? However, I agree with reviewers of the earlier versions; it would be nice if it had some of the functions of the version I used on my Dell Axim. In particular, I liked being able to find the airport abbreviations and the three digit prefix for phone calls to other countries.

Simple and Does the Job

Loved this on my old Treo, like it even more on the iPhone. Would be a perfect 5 Star if it could somehow replace the standard time display that appears whenever the iPhone turns on.

Good value!

Cant beat the features offered for a mere 99 cents. I just wanted a world clock feature but a moving gray line map tops it off. Thanks for a feature filled app.

A classic thats better than ever

This app was indispensable on my Palm PDAs when I used to do a lot of international work. Its better than ever here with the seamless downloading of city information and so much more.

J.G.K.

Love seeing the different times around the world and handy for when traveling.

World Time Pro

Works very well on iPhone and iPad need HD version

Excellent!

Love using the app especially how it shows what part of the world is either night or day. I also really enjoy seeing how many hours difference it is from your home city. Very interesting!

Great App

I track a lot of flights around the world for fun and fir my own travel. This app helps me easily figure out arrival and departure times for my family at home. I use this app quite a bit. Job well done.

DCW

I have the City Time program for my Pocket PC, (Dell Axim X5), and I have to say that the iphone app is a bit of a disappointment! On Code Citys web site they use their first application for the Palm in there discription of the app, then they state that this app is the best version of City Time ever made. However they are refering to the Palm program from years ago! It is missleading and should be changed so as not to have you think your getting something your not! The version I have for my Pocket PC is hand over fist better than the iPhone app! World Time Pro is a stripped down version of the Pocket PC program, in World Time Pro you get the World page, a sun rise and set page, a moon rise and set page, a city comparison page, which your world page basicly does this anyway, and under the "more" category you get a calculator that works in days, a distance calulator and a settings selection that enables your twilight choice. The Pocket PC version in comparison has 12 separate icons to choose from, Distance, Time Location, Time Zones, Time Calculator, World Time, Itinerary, City Dialing, Sunrise Sunset, Currency, Cities, Airlines, and a Conversion calculator. Being a pilot I was hopeful that this newer app would be more than the Pocket PC app was, or at the very very least, equal to it. It is not even close! Code City needs to update this app and make it a whole lot better than just an app to look at, it needs to be more functional and useful. The city listings in the Pocket PC app have the city codes, it also has the area codes, you can plan your itinerary, calculate currency, get airline phone #s and web addresses, etc. etc. etc........... In my oppinion it is not worth $3, $1 maybe, but no more! Its good for checking times in other cities seeing the sun and moon info and calculating time to go the distance, thats about it.

Great app

Simple great idea very useful

Nice work

Really well put together app. Great when were traveling.

Really Useful

I like this app and use it often for knowing what time it is elsewhere, but also for sunrise and sunset times.
